| This weekend I visited the Brooklyn Botanical gardens to see the blooming corpse flower (which fortunatley wasn't smelling at the time!) and in the gift shop I came across a lovely little mimosa prebonsai. I'm not too happy with the shape, but it was inexpensive to I couldn't pass it up. If I'm correct, mimosa wood isn't very pliable and fairly brittle, so how can I go about training the woodier portions, or am I better off leaving it and working around it? |

| Well, it's so small now anyway, so you have lots of time to play with it, but if I were worried, I'd wait til spring, then go with branch & foliage pruning to get where I wanted it, rather than wiring, just to be safe. |
