Hard to tell without looking at them. As a last resort you can plant them directly in the ground. Also check the roots for root rot when you replant.

yea, the roots are rotting(seem to turn black) and the bark is dying around the base of the trunk. I have used liquid copper fungicide. What else can I do to stop the rot.

Once the roots have rotted there is nothing you can do for them. Doing an emrgency root prune this time of year can be dangerous, but if it's that, or watch them die, well, there's little choice. You'll need to cut off the affected parts of the root system. The rotted roots will never recover. Repot in a free draining soil, something mostly grit or pure akadama (what kind of soil hve you had these in until now?). Put the whole thing in a shaded area outside for a time, then gradually reintroduce them to the sunlight. Some people swear by a product called Superthrive, and it certainly can't hurt to add some to the water when you're watering them.

This is no promise that the tree will survive. If the root rot has gone to far and you have to cut off too much of the root system, it might be too late.
