birch leaves yellow

alot of my birch leaves are turning yellow,and then dropping,could it be too much water?

Possibly. Check for root rot. If the roots are squishy when lightly squeezed and the outer part of the roots falls off, they are experiencing root rot. In that case, any rotted roots should be cut off and a lighter watering program should be started along with well draining soil (like sand). Good luck!
