reputable bonsai sellers?

Hi all,

I have been growing jades for awhile and am looking in venturing more into bonsai trees. I live in Wisconsin now and will likely be moving to Michigan within the next year (both areas in zones 5 or 6). Not knowing future living conditions, I'm looking for a bonsai that could be grown indoors. Light isn't a problem as we have a small grow light to use if necessary.

I'm just wondering if you can suggest any reputable bonsai dealers with online stores from which I may be able to purchase a tree and supplies.

Additionally, I'm looking for an indoor plant, so I would love to hear suggestions on the best types of trees for indoor growth.

There are many previous threads naming reputable nurseries.

My choice would be a tropical plant. The Chinese Banyon would be one. Just because they would be so unusual in your neck of the woods. There a some very good books on tropical bonsais. One is "Ficus, Exotic Bonsai" by Jerry Meislik. Good luck and aloha

Thanks for the suggestion. I tried to search for similar threads but didn't have good luck finding one. I guess I'll go search a little harder...

I know this is a dated thread, but I thought I would mention it if anyone in the future is looking for a good bonsai nursery. I just recently bought a bonsai tree from www.nurserytreewholesalers.com and was more than impressed with the tree I got. I don't know if they will have what you are looking for, but it is worth checking them out! I hope that helps :)
