Serissa Help

Hi, about a month ago I bought a 20 year old Serissa from a garden centre. Once I found a home for it, it initially lost all of it leaves (which I understand to be natural as it's acclimatising). After a week or so there was a lot more growth and one or two flowers:

Since then it has declined rapidly. It's lost nearly all of its leaves. They have developed brown spots on them before going completely brown/black and dropping off. This also carries down some of the new growth. I've tried to find info on the web but there seems to be so much contradictory information out there that I thought I'd post my own query here.

A few weeks back I bought a humidity tray and filled it with pebbles and ensured it was wet but not so the water touched the pot. I have been misting it quite regularly but upon reading other posts I'd assume that's only encouraging mildew. The soil is damp (not wet) and it's been getting a good amount of sunlight. It also has been fed twice with Chrysal Bonsai Plantfood. Yesterday I moved it to a slightly brighter spot (that's why the photo's are in different places), but would this cause it more stress?

as of today:

I understand now that Serissa are quite tricky to look after, but I really don't want to give up with it! If anyone's got any suggestions I'd be grateful, thanks!

RE: Serissa Help

Give it the most bright light (sun) all day you can. I still can't fathom why people are so cautious about giving tropical plants light - they're native to places where they're out 24/7 in the hottest, brightest light there is, and we're tentative about placing them feet away from a western exposure in an otherwise dull room in the winter!

OK thanks, I've moved it into a room that's got a west facing window so I'll see how it goes for the next couple of weeks - thanks for your help.
