Can anyone help identify this plant?

I purchased this at a local Lowes and it was in a small Bonsai dish. I ended up repotting it into another planter, but would like to know what the heck this thing is.

Very waxy leaves about the size of your thumb with little seeds that grow directly off the branches. They turn brown, dry up and fall off.

Any help is appreciated!

Beats the hell out of me but it looks like a member of the ficus family. The leaves look a lot like f. retusa but could just be another variety. I saw this posted before and walked by a bunch of them at a nursery I frequent however, the woman could only give me the Vn name which wasn't much help. I'd go looking under ficus in Google.

The fruits are definitely figs so Ficus is correct but I don't think it is retusa. My retusa has "drip tips" on the ends of it leaves. I don't know the species. It's really hard to identify a plant from pictures unless you are an expert and even then sometimes the critical characters need to be seen under a magnifying glass or microscope. If you live near a large university you might get some help from the botany department.

I don't know if it's the right name, but I have seen it sold as Ficus 'Green Isle'.

Ficus retusa var. microcarpa - aka Chinese Banyan. A very forgiving tree.
