This looks a lot like mine, I just got flowers for the first time, and they look really cool.

I think as long as you're careful, you can do just about anything you want. I got mine in January, and unfortunately something got into it and the middle branch literally died off, it was weird. Clipped it, and now the tree looks totally different, and cool :) Take a look at other trees like it out there, and also, take a look at what you see outside for inspiration. :)

Thanks for replying! Do you have any pictures to post of your tree? I do like how every morning there are new flowers that have bloomed. So far, only a couple of leaves are falling each day. It still looks pretty healthy. I've been careful with watering it. I did prune the branches all around, taking off the newest growth unless there was a obvious bud about to bloom. I've been staring at it every day I can start to imagine the shape I want it to take now. Pretty cool!

Serissa do not usually like to have their environment changed suddenly. It takes them time to get used to a different setting. Some leaves will fall and some branches will die back. But then it also produce buds all over. They are fun to work with and very pretty too. They smell terrible when snipped. Guess where the foetida comes from.
