Grafting anyone??

I was wondering how you would go about finding a local "grafter". I have a large Acer Palmatum scolopendrifolium that i would like to prune down. But rather than throw away the cuttings, i would like to graft them on to some palmatum atropurpureum or regular green leaf seedlings. I tried grafting some myself late last winter, but with out success. None took and the seedlings died as well.

Does any one graft or know how to find a person who can?

craigslist has yielded no results.

Also what would the cost be to do this? i have the scion wood and 1 to 3 year old seedlings that have the same diameter trunks.

I will continue to keep trying, but its such a disappointment when it all dies on you.
