In general, folks will add moss to their bonsais for showing.

In order for moss to be happy, the conditions would probably remain too moist for most plants.
There are exceptions, of course. I don't think I've seen moss effectively grown indoors without the
use of an enclosed or partially enclosed chamber. I actually grow a moss bonsai outdoors.

Bummer, So unless I can find a species that enjoys constant moisture or a moss that can tolerate being dryer and stay green, I am probably not going to hbe able to use it. Oh well, I guess I might just create a large bed of moss and use sections on the indoor plants and take them out as they start to brown.

I would try for ourdoor moss but normally it's supposed to be hot and dry and moss probably won't like it as much.
