unknown bugs??

I have what appears to be a perfectly healthy ficus tree. this was purchased as a mallsai so i've cut back to below the trunk chop and started to train a leader. the wound on the tree has will obviosly take a couple mor years to heall properly which i understand. My problem however is i just noticed on the wound tiny black bug the size of the point of a needle on the wound and nowhere else. My thoughts where that it was maybe some breed of termites that i have never seen. I'm not really sure though. i tried to take a picture with the digital camera but they are too small to get in focus. ANY THOUHGTS???

Why don't you just get rid of it before it spreads? Until symptoms show up, or more bugs that you can get a picture of, what can we do? Termites are not likely candidates. You are sure it is a live bug and not just a dot of soil or something?
