| I have what appears to be a perfectly healthy ficus tree. this was purchased as a mallsai so i've cut back to below the trunk chop and started to train a leader. the wound on the tree has will obviosly take a couple mor years to heall properly which i understand. My problem however is i just noticed on the wound tiny black bug the size of the point of a needle on the wound and nowhere else. My thoughts where that it was maybe some breed of termites that i have never seen. I'm not really sure though. i tried to take a picture with the digital camera but they are too small to get in focus. ANY THOUHGTS??? |

| Why don't you just get rid of it before it spreads? Until symptoms show up, or more bugs that you can get a picture of, what can we do? Termites are not likely candidates. You are sure it is a live bug and not just a dot of soil or something? |
