live oak bonsai indoors

I just moved into an apartment for college, and i have a live oak I'm trying to bonsai. I had it out side before i moved but its now sitting in the screen porch to my apartment. unfortunately the light comes from the north and i don't even have a window that i can put it in that faces another direction.

I found this grow (linked below) but it doesn't look like it gives out enough light 9 watts 1200 lumen. I need a light that i can put any where like this one, and isn't huge like most of the stuff im seeing that give out enough light, if it is even possible.

Any help would be appreciated.

Here is a link that might be useful: grow light

Hi, I don't believe it's strong enough, you need something much stronger, kept just a few inches away for 14 hours a day at least. A problem is that for just one plant, you probably don't want to get a 4' long fluorescent fixture, which would be ideal, using T5 full spectrum bulbs, and incandescent ones made for aquariums are not a good choice either. There are full spectrum fluorescents that now come as individual bulbs for table lamps with much higher wattage and/or lumens, but being in Canada, it's hard for me to tell you where to shop, but if you call around you might get lucky. There is quite a lot of info. on lighting out there, and recommendations for expensive halogens, or metal halides (which can burn plants if you're not careful), but all I can say is that your tree belongs outside (as you know) and I don't know how it will do indoors - it's about a lot more than light, e.g. air circulation, wind that strengthens the trunk and keeps pests away, nutrients in rain water, etc. etc.
