I have a healthy 21" scots pine with beautiful bark but it has 4 whorls (reverse tapers). I am playing with the idea of making it into a raft style with the branches at the 4 whorl made into the trees. What is the best time to do it and what else will i need to know to make the raft experiment succesful. This is my 1st attempt at making a raft.
