Bonsai Bougainvillea lost flowers and leaves but....

I bought my boug about 4 months ago I left it inside for about 1 month i look up and I see a tree that it's leaves are falling off I get up to touch it and bam leaves dissapear to the pot lol unknownly that they are outside plants at the time So I put it outside and watered it put some bloom booster in it and it has been in the sun for about another month and has grown 2 clumps of 3 or 4 tiny green leaves.... So what do you think is going to happen or what do you reccomend I should do The tree is kind of loose do to the fact I was trying to check it's roots and then decided not to touch it to much.
