Watering more often if it's spring or summer and outdoors, especially if they're in fast draining bonsai soil. Some Japanese growers water 3-5 times a day if the trees are really tiny (couple of inches) and depending on weather, and your location, you might need to consider that. As far as styling goes, you need to be careful to only 'feature' a few highlights in terms of branches, flowers, etc., because on something so small, less is better in terms of being able to 'see' the tree in the design, vs having what can just look like a fluffy mound of green but no definition, or too much business in structural elements. Don't forget bonsai are about the illusion - sometimes the reality just doesn't work for some situations.
