organic fungicide

At various times I have heard or read that some natural items such as ground cinnamon or growing plants from the onion family can effectively be used as fungicides on bonsai.

Has anyone had experience with these or any other natural items?

If anyone has used natural item succesfully what were they and when and how are they applied?

Chamomile tea is a good fungicide, used as a topical spritz, and as a drench to prevent damping off in seedlings and cuttings.

An apple cider vinegar spritz is also an effective fungicide at 3 Tbsp. per gallon of water - especially if you add a Tbsp. of sulfured molasses to the mix.

Both work best when used prophylactically instead of as a fixative.

Prophylactically means they should be used before a problem is noticed. Every two weeks to a month would be a good interval in a prevention regimen.

I understand "Prophylactically" I just didn't know if you ment once a season or on going as as you stated "Every two weeks to a month".
