Do you have a long term vision for the tree? It appears from the pics that you have a split trunk that crosses and confuses the eye - something you should probably give some consideration to and address late next spring or early summer a few weeks before or a few weeks after a repot.
If you're confused about how to build branches with a natural looking structure, you might want to start researching that to familiarize yourself with the process. The branches should have a defined structure similar to trees you see in nature - a primary branch with secondary branches growing off the primary, and tertiary branches growing off the secondary branches, quaternary off the tertiary ..... and so on. It looks like you might have established an imaginary boundary for your branch and simply pruned off anything that grew beyond that boundary. We want to stay away from branches that remind us of topiary in favor of something you might encounter on a drive through the country.
Don't be insulted or put off by criticism unless it's obviously mean-spirited. In most cases criticism is a good way to see things through another's eyes. You don't have to agree, and you don't need to feel obligated to adopt someone else's vision for your tree. Sometimes a critic will turn out to be like one of those gongs at a railroad crossing, clanging loudly and vainly as the train goes by, and sometimes they will impart pearls. You never know until you consider the offering.
I do feel the direction your going with this tree...was the right move. Looks much more flowing. Love the nebari! Though with more movement up top...it would compliment the nebari I think. Are you going into a windswept with the direction your taking?
