advice for starting a Caribbean Red Habanero bonsai.

I've been reading a lot into bonsai lately and then found out my precious peppers can be turned into bonsai. So now I must do this lol. I have several large Habanero plants that I'm willing to try it with. Any advice to a novice? If all goes well I have jade plants as well :-).

Read about Bonsai styles, techniques and tools. Read, Read, Read and oh yeah, maybe watch a few YouTube Vids. Then do. Aloha

Yep, give them as much light as you can when indoors during the winter. Use a fast-draining mix, and fertilize frequently, though at a reduced strength dose. I'm currently overwintering my Hungarian Hot Wax for the 6th winter. I have it in a .71 gallon nursery container...so not much of a bonsai. Pinch or prune the tips often, and this will keep a full and compact canopy.
