This weekend I impulsively bought a small bonsai from a guy selling them on the side of the road. He told me that it was a two year old Japanese Juniper. He said to water it by submersing the pot two/thirds of the way in water every week, and to put a bag over it every couple of days for humidity. I asked about whether it should be by a window or not and he said it didn't matter. From what I've read so far this is not true... I live in north Texas so during the summer it gets very hot, dry, and there is no shade on my porch. Does it need to go outside once the temperature rises in spring? Also how should I water it, how much, and for humidity should I just get a tray and mist it every day? I also have questions about truing etc. Any help is appreciated, I'll put a picture on this thread of it when I get home from school.
