Anyone here grow bonsai in their office? With the typical lower natural light levels, temperatures, etc. will they have any chance at survival?

Tropical like Ficus or scheffleras maybe, they're capable of growth with low light. No juniper, pine or deciduous though, no way.

Good to know, if I were to get one of those mini grow lights and turned it on at night/weekends, would that pretty much allow for any species?

| No, that wouldn't work. You'd need an exceptional light system, along with a controlled air/humidity environment. If you want to use a less expensive lighting system, I'd recommend a succulent in a bonsai style. The Portulacaria afra responds well to styling and grows vigorously Spring through Fall. It should hold onto its leaves if it has sufficient light.

Ah, that is good to know, I may opt for something more indoor plant like then.
