| I recently found some saplings in work yard
They are growing in crushed concrete! They are all over. They don't have tap roots and some are about 2 ft tall and have a trunk of about an inch and more. My question, is sweet gum trees a good candidate for Bonsai? |

| No idea, but if they are growing like mad and are free you might as well try since they would just end up being discarded. |

| Yes they are often used as bonsai, and make good ones. BTW - if these plants are volunteers, they DO have tap roots. Al |
