| Hey All,
Made a posting a little while ago but can't seem to find it. Here are some pics, can anyone ID what it is? Short story, bought it in bad shape was in 100% peat, soaking wet, and without a drain hole. I bare rooted it, drilled a hole in the pot, and placed it in gritty mix. Any advice on next steps would be awesome. Thanks! |

| That looks like mine (though mine still has berries on it). It probably is a Cotonester m. thyifolis. The soil I used was actually a tropical mix (it's an acid mix with pumice) but that was more for the fastness of the soil, but all the bonsai I put in it seem to love it. I water roughly every other day (since it's so dry here) and mist it at least once a day with water and fertilize with a liquid fertilizer once a month. I put mine out in the rain and winter like weather (50's 60's) this week and it has begun to bloom. Also, if you get fungus gnats, pour some hot (not as hot as drinking) mint tea and it will get rid of them. |

| It is a Fukien Tea not Cotoneaster. |
