You said only that you don't get a lot of natural light - could you be any ore specific? Also crucial for plants, are humidity and temperature. The AC being shut off is a good thing - it's when it comes back on on Mondays that you want to worry (about plants) as it's very drying. Toasty and humid is ok, toasty and dry is not. You may get away with growing a ficus in there, depending on how well it's taken care of, though would surely lose all its leaves at first in response to the low light, but if humidity's kept up well (wide tray of stones and water that the pot sits on, but not 'in' the water) and fast draining bonsai soil is used and watered properly, you might do ok.

Umbrella palm might also work.
