| If you mean are there specific books on bonsai published in Canada, then probably very few, but you can get books from the library that are published anywhere in the world, and Amazon.com, if you go there and click on "books", then "Bonsai" and then 'Used", has a huge and very inexpensive list of bonsai books and each listing tells you what condition the book's in, how many pgs, etc. and gives the name/address where you can buy it online. Look for most recently published ones in general (last 10-15 yrs) because methods change, new discoveries are made in horticulture and much older books often give information that is out of date now. If you find certain ones that you're interested in, post here and get advice re if they're good or not. |

| The best "old standby" book on bonsai is Bonsai Techniques I, by John Naka, available from the Bonsai Institute. It is a wonderful book on design as well as culture of bonsai. The best source of new books on bonsai is Stone Lantern Publishing (stonelantern.com). They have a wide selection of specialty as well as general books by top modern authors. Happy reading and pruning and plucking, Jack |
