| Any experienced bonsai enthusiasts in NYC?
Here's why I'm asking: I have come into possession of 3 "pre-bonsai" from an enthusiast who was reducing her collection. All are tagged and dated (and I will provide the info on the tags later). My understanding is that these are in the training stage and some of the dates if I recall indicate that one or two of them are years old. They are all very healthy and one has berries and blooms all over it. I am looking for a good home for them with an experienced bonsai person who can care for them properly and continue their training. If this is you, and you are interested, please show me pictures, let me know about your collection, etc. so I can be assured they are going to a good home and I will send you all the information on them. You will need to pick them up on Roosevelt Island. They are FREE -- I just need to know they are going to a good home. These are outdoor bonsai and I am losing my outdoor space in two months so I am looking to place these. |

| Hi, I'm going to suggest you post this on www.bonsaisite.com because there's a lot more activity there and you're more likely to get a lot of answers. Just a tip -= ignore the tags, they're invariably useless for given species as the information on them is very one-size-fits-all. If you can post the names of the trees here though, we can at least try to help you keep them going til you find good homes. They can't be treated like houseplants, nor watered the same way, and it's important to at least use basic care while you're waiting. |

| Thanks for recommending that website....I'll head over there and post. The tags are not commercial tags....these came from an expert bonsai cultivator who hand wrote and hand labeled everything, including potting and training records, specific to each plant. They're doing very well where they are and I don't expect them to stay long....only the outdoor bonsai will be leaving because of losing my space and they will need continuation of their training and need an experienced person for that. |

| Hey there Heavensabvus1-- I am a bonsai enthusiast with 5 yrs experience living in NYC, Manhattan to be specific. Are the trees still available? I can guarantee them a good home. Give me a few days and I'll put up pictures of my collection, otherwise, I can come out to Roosevelt Is. as soon as next week! I hope to hear from you. DP |
