I just got an Azalea bonsai for Christmas and it was already budding when I opened it. I've read that it is common for nurseries to do this. What should I do?
I have been reading about these plants a bit over the year and I am not sure whether to just let it bloom, then induce dormancy, or to just stick it outside and let it do its thing and water it at a wintertime rate, or to clip off the buds before they bloom and then induce dormancy, or something else.
I am in the right climate zone. I am really hoping to keep this thing alive so we can be best friends and go out on the town and stuff lol.
