Deciduous bonsai (Cassia)

I have a seedling - actually I pulled it out of the sidewalk near our house, which is what gave me the idea of growing it as a bonsai. It's about 4/5 years old and is now actually beginning to look like a real tree. It's some sort of Cassia, can't be more exact. I bought a nice Japanese-style pot for it.

It's deciduous - to be more exact, it drops all its leaves 3-4 times a year! It always revives, however. How long do you reckon I might keep it going? I never let it get too dry even when it's morphing....Could it ever flower? The yellow flowers of the parent tree are very attractive and quite abundant. I can show a pic if you like. - Ian.
