Shohin Podacarpus

This is a 4" dwarf Podacarpus 'Pringles'. In the pot with Mr. Pringles are several Lemmaphyllum volunteers. About 15 yrs ago I bought a large quantity of bonsai soil from Japan.
The spores were in that grit and have come up in almost every
tree I have. It is a cute little fern and doesn't seem to hurt the trees. They have naturalized but are they still illegal immigrants???? jejeje

I have a smaller podacarpus called Alpine Blue. I will have to look for a pic of it.

RE: Shohin Podacarpus

Very cute. I only have one or two trees that could be called shohin but I am beginning to appreciate their charm more as my back gets worse. Keep up the good work. Jack
