Problem with Cherry Bonsai

Hello, I have noticed white fluffy streaks, with what looks like a brown rust colored head all over my tree, both the bark and the leaves. Any idea what this could be and how to treat it? It seems to be killing my tree. Thank you.

RE: Problem with Cherry Bonsai

If the area in question has bulk than I suspect these are eggs from a moth or butterfly. I don't think they will do any harm to your plant if they are dried up. You might want to attempt to squeeze them between your fingers but I doubt if you can smash them. Use pliers to find out if there is something in them.

When these things appear on some of my trees, I use a knife an scrape them off.
