what are these guys??

Hi all!

I'm assuming they're a bulb of some sort... someone suggested "Glory of the Snow"... but they are blooming NOW... a little late for Glory, no (they're blooming now, 2nd week of May)? We found them in our lawn on the parkway. Weren't there last year!

This is Ornithogalum umbellatum.
For further confirmation I inform you that this kind of "Star of Bethlehem" bears a white center stripe on the leaves. These leaves are beginning to wither when the stalks have reached their full size and start to bloom. The flowers shut in the afternoon but will open the bext morning again.
This plant is rather "weedy" isn't it?! *LOL*

YES that's them! Thanks for the info Hans-Werner, I found images online and yes that is it. The leaves were nowhere to be found when I found the bloomnig little guys; this also had me curious! *WHEW* now I can sleep!!!

That's great news.

And it is correct, tooo that you did not find the respective leaves any more. I presume that you experienced a rather sudden transition between "cold" and "warm" season in your region, and this might have induced the leaves to wither somewhat earlier.
