My grandmother gave me a huge bulb (between a softball and basketball size) about 10 years ago with instructions to plant it outside in the spring and bring it in in the fall (after the stalk falls). She called it a "stink lilly". When the bulb sprouts in a box in the basement, a 2'+ deep purple flower sprouts on a 4' stalk that stinks like carrion. The bulbs are coming up now and i took a couple of pics. Every year i dig them up, i find about 20 more baby bulbs in there. Any idea what they really are?
