I know these bulbs have been hiding here since before we bought the house, but they've never come out until this year (I cut back some surrounding shrubs and out they popped!). What is the name of this beautiful flower???? :-)

Lycoris (umm, there's one other name people use and I can't remember).

They like to be undisturbed in sun.
