Saving Bulbs

I live in Zone 7. My son is moving to Zone 8 (Charleston, SC) and in the crazyiness of the reno/move/new house purchase no one remembered to dig up their precious bulbs from the "first house" yard to take on to the new home. I of course spoke up and said "oh I got this!" I dug them up, it was not too difficult as only about an inch of the ground was frosted.I have Canna, Stargazer Lily, Tiger Lilly,
Iris and Crinum Lily bulbs that are safely out of the ground. We will go down mid March to deliver these gems. My question is What do I do with them in the interim? I have 3 acres of perennial bulbs and have even dug up in July and replanted iin Dec and they were fine but I have never dug up in Jan?!?!? Do I plant them in pots and then just transplant when I get down there? Do I clean all the soil off and put them in the frig until then? HELP!! I know I shouldn't have but I just couldn't let them lose their first planted flowers ever. jThanks so much!!
