madness!

From a poor, frazzled wretch who has spent the past week sorting dormant bulbs in pots in someone else's garden:

never put a pot of anything anywhere near a clump of Freesias or Sparaxis. Never.

They will fling their seeds from afar and there will be little insidious colonies infesting Everything.

The 'fries' of the bulb world, as in Erythronium - and fries, Fritillaria - and fries, miniature daffs - and fries, Rhodohypoxis - and fries.

Never mind. The autumn Leucojum are showing their wee pixie hats and the autumn crocuses are starting. Good things ahead.
