A very elderly lady in our community gave me a bucket of narcissus bulbs several years ago. She literally had a field of them growing (at least two acres), which she said were there when she was a child. Needless to say, they are wonderful, easy to grow, and prolific.

One of them is a very early bloomer with a typical yellow flower and glaucous foliage. Its buds are shaped like perfect teardrops. It's the only narcissus I have seen with buds shaped like this, and oh, there are single and double forms of it. Does anyone know what it might be?
