Daffodil ID

A very elderly lady in our community gave me a bucket of narcissus bulbs several years ago. She literally had a field of them growing (at least two acres), which she said were there when she was a child. Needless to say, they are wonderful, easy to grow, and prolific.

One of them is a very early bloomer with a typical yellow flower and glaucous foliage. Its buds are shaped like perfect teardrops. It's the only narcissus I have seen with buds shaped like this, and oh, there are single and double forms of it. Does anyone know what it might be?

Try or to try to match them up. If that doesn't work, try to find a copy of Scott Ogden's "Garden Bulbs of the South".

Or, try posting a photo.
