muscari foliage

Can I trim back the foliage of muscari before they bloom this spring, or must I leave it in place? I planted some in rather prominent spots in the garden and am tired of the looking at the limp clumps of foliage lying about this winter. apologies if this is a common question. thanks!

I find muscari foliage is a real pain during spring cleanup. I cut the foliage at that time so I can more easily rake the leaves in the bed. The muscari blooms anyway in spite of my harsh treatment, and IMHO the flowers are more prominent without the ratty foliage.
