grrrr. i just found several bags of tulip bulbs i had given to my son that have been languishing in his unheated back entry since October. is there any hope of bloom this spring if i get them potted up now? this is zone 5.

It is either pot them up(assuming you cannot plant in the ground)or throw them away. If they are still firm, I would plant them now. Al

You might also just wait a bit more for the spring thaw in your area. I'm waiting for it here in Indiana, as well as for the soil to dry out some so I can get the last of the daffodils snuck in the ground.

thanks to you both -- i shall experiment and follow both suggestions! and that's the last time i shall give bulbs as a housewarming gift (unless i plant them myself)!!
