Where's the best place to buy ranunculus?

I'd rather spend more and get good quality than get cheapy ones that are spindly and won't do well.

Or are the cheap ones just as good? :)

Thanks for any help!

the problem is the big bulb distributors sell them in fall with the spring bloomers. You might find some small ones in a big box store now. Or, you could buy some plants. They take about 4 months to go from corm to flower and that means here in the Dallas TX area I plant in Dec Jan.

Your zone is cooler, so you could probably plant with success now and maybe get a good deal. I love the giant ones and buy them in the fall.

Don't forget to soak them overnight and plant with the claws down.

I placed an order recently for some ranunculus from a place in California called I haven't ordered from them before, I'm just going by their positive ratings on the Garden Watchdog.
