Rain lilies: removing dieback

I'm in Dallas, and my rain lilies are so happy that they don't completely die back in the winter. I'm left with many still-green (but slightly droopy) leaves and much dieback at the beginning of spring. I think it will take hours to carefully pull the dieback out. May I just cut it all back? Green and brown together at once?
