Leaves of unusual bulbs?

theloud

We bought a house with no bulbs at all and virtually no garden, so we're starting from scratch.

I know how the usual bulbs (daffodils, tulips, crocuses) fit into the garden: They bloom very early in spring, gather some sunlight to provide for next year's bloom, and then their dying foliage is hidden by perennials planted with them. But I'm wondering about the foliage of some of the more unusual bulbs I see in the catalogs, like these:

Bulbocodium vernum

Camassia

Gladiolus communis ssp byzantinus

Ixiolirion pallasii

What schedule is their foliage on? When does it die back?
