sliced bulbs-- any hope?

a friend dug out some resurrection lily bulbs for me today and i am heartbroken-- at least half of them have been sliced by the shovel. is it possible to save them? i was thinking of potting them up in a big pot-- is it worth it? i have read that some bulbs will form small bulbs around the base-- anyone think that is likely? any help would be appreciated :)

Many sliced bulbs will recover. If you need them, I would pot them up and give them a chance. Al

I too have planted sliced bulbs if there remains part of the basal plate (where the roots emerge). I dust the cut surface with sulpher dust before planting.
