Sun-facing daffodils

Before I plant a few thousand bulbs along my driveway, I thought I ought to be sure that when I drive up to my house I won't be coming home to see all of them with their BACKS to me. The driveway is a north facing slope - that is, when you enter you are driving up a hill in the direction of south. So which way will they be facing??

Which side of the driveway. Mine face east.

I put them on both sides, so I guess at least one side will be ok! But the question is, what is the effect of the hillside or a wooded backdrop? I can't imagine they would ever face south/east if it meant looking into the side of a slope or a building. Same for woods, when they could turn to the opening presented by a clearing or a driveway..

Mine like to salute the sunrise even tho a fence is in the way! Trying to thwart this rude behavior I planted one a foot away. No bud showing yet.
