Fringed leaves coming up -

from a bulb my friend planted and the growth is about a three inch stalk with a large roundish white flower - hard to describe. She doesn't know what she planted but I wondered if anyone here could at least tell me what bulbs would have emerging greenery that is fringed... Thanks

Carrie

Perhaps Dutchman's Breeches, Dicentra cucullaria?

Maybe an anemone? The large flower makes that more likely than Dicentra. Does your friend remember what the bulb looked like? Anemones don't exactly have bulbs, I don't believe Hepatica
