Splitting Caladium bulbs

I thought that I read that I can simply break a caladium bulb in half and get another plant when planting. Is that right? I dug these up from last season. I don't see any tubers per se, just have more of a roundish bulb. The more plants the better!

I plan to plant these and let grow indoors for few weeks before moving outdoors. I'm in Atlanta, GA.

Here I grow them in pots and the store the "bulb" over-winter. I would say though in the spring I see the "eyes" on the bulbs and know where next years growth will come from. I would bet if you break the bulbs such that there is at least one eye per piece that you will be fine.
