I want to shamelessly promote this little bulb and I don't know whether it's Zephyranthes citrina or a Cooperia.
What I do know is - it's happy in a pot and has been flushing with flowers all summer right to the present. Months of these lemon-skin yellow starry flowers.
So, if anyone is looking for a delightful little bulb that asks only water and the occasional splash of whichever fertiliser is passing by, I'd say this one. Z candida is delightful - and fickle. This one is spring, summer, autumn.
Ideal in a small garden, IMO. Well worth the space it takes.
End of shameless promotion. And I'm keeping all I have. Except for the ones I've potted for my mum. :-)))
