What a difference a day (and snowstorm) makes

The spring started off so nicely with the Crocus showing up on schedule in Early March, then the Ice Follies started showing the middle of March. By the First of April, the Daffs are in full glory, and the Grape Hyacinths will be starting soon. The Daylilies and Iris are also on schedule. The Ajuga is starting to come alive again. The Iris are showing MANY scapes and fat buds starting. And then - WHAM - a snowstorm last night. Ya, we know it happens, but it's still quite unwelcome right now.... Candy

I'm surprised at all your iris buds there. Ice Follies are long gone here, but I'm not seeing iris buds...well, I've not really looked 'for them', since my total attention has been to so many daffodils, both established ones as well as numerous ones that I am seeing bloom for the first time this spring.

I hope the temps weren't very low (just barely enough to get snow) and that it melts off quickly.
