I have transplanted them with success at all times of their growing stage. I really can't kill them.

Best time is in the fall, but you could do it now. Just dig down deep enough, it always suprises me how deep they actually are.

Those suckers are deep so be careful.

gah! I transplanted some asiatic lily bulbs to a new location that was a not as protected. Next morning, I found the tops of the new shoots had been chewed off!

Is it safe to assume these will not flower this year?

They are pretty tough. They may send up another shoot.

I have had my dogs snap them off and they re-send up a main shoot about half of the time. I guess you will just have to see :)
