I had Liatris growing last year and the year before. Unfortunately I had ALOT of standing water in my garden and I noticed the bulb got loose and basically floated to the top of the dirt. About 2 weeks ago it had not life to it and I didn't expect it to. I threw it in a bucket of dirt (basically sitting on the top of the dirt. I checked it today and there were live roots growing and a little sprout here and there... but I can't tell if the root was sitting upside down or the right way? Will the bulb force itself to grow either way? Also, the sprouts were still sooooo small, i honestly dont know if they were sprouts or roots growing. I live in southeastern Va and it's been warm the past 2 weeks. my dads liatris (where i got mine from) have a little bit of growth right now.
