a question about calla lilys!

hi i was just curious if it is normal that a calla lily's leaves will grow straight up or go "inside out" and will not stand up straight without support because my lily is all over the place and i had to stake it up. also the bulb for it is very big and a houseplant that recieves light from a southern window. thanks for any help :D

Might be the variety. However, I'd go for more light (in easy stages to avoid sunburn) first. And perhaps ease back on the nitrogen feeds in favour of a balance, or more potash.
