Daffodil pics - help me choose

Here are some daffodils, shot through a fine-mesh garden fence. Do you like the effect, and which picture do you like better?

I don't care for the effect and I don't like that they are photographed from behind.

I'm with irisgal, I like the second one best. The effect makes it look like its been painted on a canvas almost...pretty cool! Since the majority of photos are from the front, getting them from the back is an artistic touch...almost as if they have a story to tell.

Yes, the second photo. I have taken a few through the screening, if my camera lens is right up against the screening it will almost not show.

Count me among those that prefer seeing the front of the blooms with their smiling faces.

Interesting effects though.

I prefer the second one, too. I was surprised to see the highlights and the changes in color and shape. Thanks for your thoughts!
